Abyssmare is an all-girl DJ group in the Dig Delight Direct Drive DJ franchise, featured primarily in Groovy Mix. It is (chronologically) the seventh unit of Generation I.
It consists of four members: Neo, Sophia, Elsie and Weronika. The music producer of their songs is May'n, while in-universe, they are initially backed up by Mitsuhashi Ku's long-lost father Mitsuhashi Sho, before Neo ended the contract between him and the unit due to the goal differences.
Description[]
An overseas unit that suddenly erupted into the Japanese DJ scene with its gunboat diplomacy. Behind them, Mitsuhashi Sho, a member of the legendary DJ unit "L.M.O", seems to be pulling the strings.
Neo's overwhelming singing ability, Sophia's DJ sense that allows her to gauge the floor's energy, Elsie's cute singing voice and expressions charm the audience, along with Weronika's intense dancing. These girls have no interest in anything aside from becoming the world's greatest, and their stoic and drastic performances will surely have a great influence on Japan's DJ units.[1]

Trivia[]
- In-universe, they are the only unit that originates outside of Japan and have names of non-Japanese origin.
- Possibly because of originating outside of Japan, Abyssmare is the only one with all of the members living together in a large apartment.
- Abyssmare and UniChØrd are the only units where one of the voice actresses composes songs for the group.
- Abyssmare and Photon Maiden are the only units where the members are enrolled in different school years, with Sophia and Elsie being in their first of high school, Neo in her second year, and Weronika in her third year.
- The unit name "Abyssmare" is compounded from two nouns, "Abyss" and "Nightmare".
- The name of the members originates from compass points or cardinal directions: "North", "South", "East", and "West".
- Abyssmare is the first designated antagonist unit in the franchise.[2]
- In Groovy Mix, one gimmick, which are hold notes with starting and ending nodes on different rails, can be only found on the beatmap of Abyssmare songs. In Rave events, Abyssmare also holds the "Dominator" title, with their status so high that it becomes "unmeasurable".
