Ennouji Sakuya (園能寺咲耶?) is a character in the D4DJ franchise. She is a second-year student at Arisugawa Academy and is the president of the school's student council.
She was first introduced in the Arisugawa Academy Festival LIVE STAGE stage play.
Appearance[]
Sakuya has long purple hair put in a high ponytail with a white ribbon.
Profile[]
Sakuya is an honor student who has a strict personality and she often places tradition and order above everything. She has been attending Arisugawa Academy ever since kindergarten, and has considered Haruna as her rival ever since elementary school. Sakuya also has been the student council president of the academy since those days.
Her father is the owner of a large hospital.
Personality[]
Sakuya is a bit of a disciplinarian who has been at the top of her grade ever since she was young. She believes that Lyrical Lily - despite getting an exception from the headmaster - are disturbing the traditions and refined atmosphere of the academy, and as such, wants to stop their activities. She has a bit of a haughty side to her as well, and for as long as she can remember, she has never lost to anyone.
At the same time, due to her uncompromising personality, the other students rarely approach her, and despite not outright admitting it, Sakuya feels envious of Haruna having friends.[1] Despite being serious most of the time, she sometimes can’t handle things by herself and would rely on someone for help.[2]
Etymology[]
Ennouji (園能寺) can be split into three parts. En (園) means "garden", Nou (能) means "skill, talent", and Ji (寺) refers to a (Buddhist) temple.
Sakuya (咲耶) can be split into two parts. Saku (咲) means "to bloom" and Ya (耶) refers to a question mark.
