Fukushima Noa (福島ノア?) is a character in the D4DJ franchise, and is a member of the group Photon Maiden.
Appearance
Noa has pale blonde hair with some tied into a braided bun. She has full bangs and waist-length forelocks. She has grayish green eyes.
Description
Noa became interested in theater plays through her love of literature, and decided to become a performer when she was praised at a theater workshop. Very curious and full of knowledge, she becomes talkative when it comes to things she's interested in. She loves cute things[1] and is strongly obsessed with cats.
Relationships
Izumo Saki
Because of her love for everything cute, Noa especially admires Saki, who is known for her impressive beauty and idol talents. When, during the New Year's greetings, she learned that the latter might appear in a miko costume, Noa was so overwhelmed with emotion in anticipation of seeing Saki in this uniform that she literally "burned out" from overexcitement.
Hanamaki Towa
Noa and Towa knew each other before auditioning for Photon Maiden. Though they get along, they also tend to argue over their favorite idols.
Niijima Ibuki
Fellow unit member. Noa is shown to respect Ibuki and admires her dance moves as well as flexibility.
Ohnaruto Muni
Muni is another person Noa finds extremely cute and likes hugging her, something the former is not fond of. In one of their shared live dialogues, Noa says she'd do anything Muni asked her to do, and in another, screams just how cute the latter is, causing Muni to get embarrassed.
Inuyose Shinobu
Similarly to Muni, Noa finds Shinobu extremely cute. Though Shinobu was initially wary of her, the two started getting along after the game's first event story and when they went on a date to the game center in Shinobu's event card story.
Shiratori Kurumi
Kurumi refers to Noa as "Noa-chi". As Noa finds Kurumi cute, she is willing to be pranked by her, but Kurumi finds that she would rather experience the "cuteness" than the prank itself. According to Kurumi's card story, Noa states that the Shiratori family are loyal customers to her parent's sweets store.
Mizushima Marika
So far, Marika is the only character that Noa finds cute while being older than her. Marika explains that her "cuteness" comes from eating vegetables such as okra natto, which happens to be Noa's disliked food.
Etymology
Fukushima (福島) can be split into two parts. Fuku (福), meaning blessing or fortune, and Shima (島) meaning island.
Noa (ノア) has no meaning on its own. However, since it's in katakana, it could be the Japanese equivalent of Noah.
Trivia
- Noa has an extensive collection of books in her home and will read anything, regardless of genre.[2]
- Her family owns a Japanese sweets store.
- In the Monster Hunter collaboration, her armor is based on the Paolumu and her weapon type is the Sword & Shield.
