Kagami Karin (各務 華梨, Kagami Karin^?) is a voice actress from Aichi, Japan. She is affiliated with S Inc talent agency. She voices Akashi Maho and is a member of Happy Around!. She also voices Maho's cousin, Kaho.

Biography

Karin was born in California and her middle name is Sierra, named after the mountain range "Sierra Nevada" in California. She watched anime as a young child and recalls being impressed that the same actor could play multiple roles. She attended an international school all the way through high school, and thus has gained a proficiency in the English language.

Karin became an associate member of S Inc agency in May 2019, and officially joined in July 2019. Maho is her first role as a voice actress.

Karin is a rather soft-spoken person. She describes her character, Maho, as a "very cool" girl, and wishes she could be as cool as Maho is.

Trivia

• Karin's English skills have made her the unofficial overseas representative for the D4DJ seiyuu.
  • She also voices her D4DJ character, Maho, in the English dub of D4DJ First Mix. She is the only seiyuu of any Bushiroad property to accomplish this. One episode in All Mix directly plays this up, forcing Maho to speak English for most of the episode.
  • However, so far, she is only the voice actress with a slight bit of trouble when voicing the English version of Maho.
  • She also voiced the character Haneyama Urara both in Japanese and English, making her the first seiyuu who dubbed more than one character into another language.
• Her birthday is one day before Maho's.
• On March 26, 2023, Karin graduated from International Christian University (ICU).
• Karin said that if she were not a seiyuu, she might have had a career as a curator, since in school she took art classes and studied art history. She enjoys looking at paintings, especially Western paintings.
• Karin's favorite scene in D4DJ First Mix is in Episode 8 when Maho is overcome with emotion after Happy Around!'s performance.
• Karin's favorite food is potato chips. She also enjoys bubble tea, claiming to have enjoyed it "since elementary school".
