Okada Mei (岡田夢以) was born May 19, 1996 in Saitama, Japan. She voices Mizushima Marika and is a member of Merm4id. She is affiliated with A-plus agency and Ace Crew Entertainment.
Biography[]
Mei is the second of three daughters.[1] Her parents, who love anime, named her after Mei Kusakabe from the film, "My Neighbor Totoro".[2]
Mei debuted as an idol in 2014 with the military-themed unit "Tenkou Shoujo Kagekidan" (later renamed "Tenko Shojo*"). She announced her graduation from the group on September 10, 2019.
Beginning in September 2016, Mei has hosted readings of original essays, short stories, and scripts entitled "Mei Nadeshiko" (夢詠撫子).
Marika is Mei's debut role as a voiceover artist, though she has acquired acting roles since then such as Sara Hiiragi in the ROAD59 series.

- Mei's special skills include tea ceremonies and calligraphy.
- Mei's favorite motto is "If you can dream it, you can do it."[4] This quote is commonly attributed to Walt Disney; however, it was actually coined by Disney Imagineer Tom Fitzgerald.[5]
- Mei's hobbies include playing tennis and drawing. She is quite proficient in art, and will post her illustrations to her Instagram page.
- Mei also enjoys anime, stating that she is particularly fond of heartwarming slice-of-life anime.[6]
- Mei was on the soft tennis team in school.
- Fellow unit member Negishi Ai also played soft tennis in school.[7].
