Sumi Tomomi Jiena (鷲見 友美 ジェナ?) is an actress and singer, who voices Elsie and is a member of Abyssmare. She is currently a freelancer, and used to be affiliated with Remax before.
Biography[]
Jiena was born to a Japanese father and a Filipino mother on September 5th, 1994 in Kyoto, Japan. She cites Ishimaru Hiroya, the Japanese dub voice for Jackie Chan, as the one who inspired her to become a voiceover artist. She recalls watching the cartoon "Jackie Chan Adventures" on Disney Channel as a child, flipping back and forth between the English and Japanese broadcasts and spotting the differences.[2] In her third year of middle school, she moved with her family to Tokyo. She also studied abroad in Cebu for a year when she was in her third year of high school.[3]
In 2013, Jiena broke into the entertainment industry as a member of the idol group Kamen Rider GIRLS. Four years later, she made her voiceover debut as Kamitsuki Mao in "SchoolGirl Strikers: Twinkle Melodies".
On August 31, 2024, Jiena left Remax after the contract between her and the agency expired.[4]
